One player may have encountered a slightly higher ratio of normal Temtem and another player could encounter a slightly higher ratio of special ones. However, if the encounter rate is not 100% you will never have a completely even ratio of special to normal Temtem encountered even after 10000 encounters. Sure, changing around the ratio of luma to encounter rate won't change anything if the encounter rate isn't 100% and you could randomly encounter several lumas in quick succession. Secondly, you seem to have a slightly misguided understanding of probability. During those rotations people will be spending more time on it yet spending less Pansun on Saicards overall, and the game desperately needs better Pansun sinks at this point. When hunting for increased minimum SV / egg move Temtem having other normal Temtem encountered in their location does in fact hinder and slow down the process, making my first two points completely valid. None of what you proposed in any way changes your chances of your time spent being rewarded (Luma) or not (no Luma).įirst of all, you are assuming that my points are only referencing luma rotations. But having witnessed part of such a chain does not make the chain itself likelier or less likely of happening in general.

It's just unlikely for you to witness such a chain of events. There is no rule saying you can't encounter a Luma immediately after already having encountered one.

Each Temtem is an individual, independent roll. since there is no guarantee of a Luma after X encounters nor guarantee of no Luma after encountering one, this is also a completely pointless thing. The end effect on the amount of Temtem total you need to encounter for the same probability of having encountered a Luma is the same.įor this reason points 1 and 2 are completely pointless.Īs for 3. It doesn't matter if you set the Luma chance to 1/1000 with an 8x multiplier and then make the Temtem in question a 12.5% spawn rate and end up with a 0x multiplier compared to a 100% spawn rate area OR if you set it to 100% spawn rate with 0x Luma multiplier. You can multiply the multiplier for Luma chance with it and compare that to a 100% encounter rate area for that Temtem if you will. The encounter rate in Saipark is entirely irrelevant.

Feel free to add any thoughts on the matter or tell me why my points suck. I am the type of person who is fine to grind for hours on end for something I want but when a game takes measures to hinder that time spent grinding it is much less enjoyable and rewarding than it should be. obtained inadvertently through the Saipark which gradually reduces their worth compared to other lumas. Additionally, over an extended period of time this could lead to a disproportionate amount of luma Paharac, Pigepic, Skail, etc. Partially a personal gripe but I'm sure some other players can relate during luma rotations when I'm searching for one of my favorite lumas in the game and instead get the roll on a luma Paharac that can't even currently evolve my disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined. Somewhat related to the above point, running into mundane Temtem while searching for something actually desirable can be annoying, a hindrance and a waste of time.ģ.

More unwanted encounters = less Pansuns on Saicards spent.Ģ. Players are almost entirely in the Saipark for the current Temtem in rotation and will not be using their Saicards on the mundane Temtem inside it in nearly all cases, making the Saipark less effective of a Pansun sink. could be lowered appropriately to compensate for the guaranteed encounters. Until a chaining mechanic is implemented I believe this would make the Saipark an all around more enjoyable experience and stuff like luma bonus rates, etc.
